Cultural activities and associations in Tårnby

You will meet representatives from various cultural and sports associations and hear about their work. Maybe there is something that interests you or your family, and maybe there is an activity you want to try out.

Being a member of an association is a good opportunity to form a network, find new friends, learn Danish and get to know the Danish culture.

The event is for new citizens in Tårnby with a foreign background, students at the language school and other interested parties. Children are also welcome to participate in the event.

What is a "forening"?
The danish word for association is "forening". A "forening" is a community of people who have a common interest. These interests can be anything from sports, stamps, social work, cooking, gardening, dogs, etc. Although a "forening" typically consists of a group of people with a common interest, it must not set restrictions on who can be a member. It is a requirement in Denmark that the "forening" must be open to everyone who wants to be a member.
